so it was that time of year again when a load of fat headed property developers, wast bulging builders, and brown nosing business pricks all come together to glorify Fianna Fail.
this years ard fheis was far from dumbed down due to the economic crises. extravagance was the order of the day for the 'republican' party who gathered to tell, Brian Cowen what a good job him and his cronies are doing.
on Saturday night came the climax of the weekend, Brian cowens speech. plastic faced Noel Dempsey announced him on stage and the big jowled fucker from Offaly came out from behind a curtain and thronged by secret service styled bodyguards, the fat cunt made his way up through the crowds and onto the stage amid the booming music of..well.. i dunno.. some sort of shite.
the speech was empty. full of meaning less words and fuck all action. the speech lasted a mere 20 minutes. if you watched it like i did, then you too have lost 20 minutes of your life that you will never get back.
the audience resembled an audience you'd see at a talent show for nursing home folks but i think the stand out moment of the whole weekend was the report David Davin Power did for RTE 9 o'clock news. D.D power got surrounded by a pack of Fianna Fail freaks, they looked like something from dawn of the dead. apparently they are candidates for the local election. god help us...god help us all!
